Temporary 12 month role

Skills:

• Demonstrated understanding of initiatives in student learning, clouding but not limited to the Standards, the Principals of Learning & Teaching 7-12 & Assessment & Reporting Advice & the capacity to evaluate learning & teaching programs in accordance with the Victorian curriculum.
• Demonstrated high level classroom & library teaching skills & the capacity to work with colleagues to continually improve teaching & learning.
• Ability to monitor & assess student learning data & to use this data to inform teaching for improved student learning.
• Demonstrated high level written & verbal communication skills & high interpersonal skills including the capacity to establish & maintain collaborative relationships with parents, other employees & the broader school community.
• Demonstrated behaviours & attitudes in line with Department values, including but not limited to a commitment to actively contribute & manage major curricular & student activities, as well as a commitment to constantly improving teaching quality & capacity through the application of knowledge, skills & expertise gained from ongoing professional development & learning.
• Demonstrated ability to actively promote the safety & wellbeing of all students to the standards of the Child Safety Standards.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• The role is for a classroom teacher
• Responsibilities include but not limited to;
• Direct teaching of class groups of students & individual students.
• Contributing to the development, implementation & evaluation of various curriculum areas & programs in the school.
• Undertaking other classroom teaching related & organisational roles as determined by the principal.
• Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps & excursions.
• Undertaking other non teaching supervisory roles.
